Zomato announced a comprehensive corporate rebrand to Eternal Ltd at its annual investor day, reflecting the transition from food delivery into a diversified consumer technology company spanning Blinkit quick commerce, Hyperpure dining-out platform, and a new fintech vertical. Shares surged 8.3% on the NSE to close at Rs 312, adding Rs 28,000 crore to market cap on the day of the announcement.
Founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal said Eternal represents the ambition to build products and businesses that stand the test of time. Blinkit, contributing 31% of gross order value, targets 2,000 dark stores by end of 2025. The company also announced the Eternal Growth Fund, a Rs 500 crore internal incubator for new verticals. Analysts viewed the rebrand as signalling aggressive expansion into grocery, beauty, and home services.
