Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan officially confirmed that his next film King will release on Eid 2026, marking his return to the big screen after Jawan and Dunki. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who delivered blockbusters Fighter and Pathaan with the star, King is described as a high-octane international action thriller filmed across 12 countries. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan and marks the Bollywood debut of Shah Rukh Khan daughter Suhana Khan in a leading role alongside her father.
Red Chillies Entertainment confirmed the release date via a social media post that garnered over 3 million likes within the first hour, breaking the record for the most-liked Bollywood announcement post. Trade analysts predict King could breach the Rs 1,500 crore worldwide gross mark given the box office momentum Shah Rukh Khan has built since his return with Pathaan in 2023. Advance booking platforms reported record wishlist additions for the film within 24 hours of the announcement. The marketing campaign will launch on New Year 2026.
