राष्ट्रपति की मंजूरी के बाद ऑनलाइन गेमिंग बिल बना कानून, उल्लंघन पर होगी इतने साल की जेल

नई दिल्ली। राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने शुक्रवार को ‘ऑनलाइन गेमिंग (प्रमोशन और रेग्युलेश) बिल 2025’ को मंजूरी दे दी है। यह बिल संसद के दोनों सदनों से इस हफ्ते ही पास हुआ था। इस कानून का मकसद ई-स्पोर्ट्स और सोशल गेम्स को बढ़ावा देना है, लेकिन ऑनलाइन पैसे वाले गेम्स पर पूरी तरह से रोक लगाना है।

सरकार का कहना है कि इस कदम से नशे की लत, आर्थिक नुकसान और आत्महत्या जैसे खतरों को रोका जा सकेगा। साथ ही, ई-स्पोर्ट्स को अब कानूनी मान्यता मिलेगी और युवाओं के लिए खेल का नया क्षेत्र खुलेगा।

बिल के तहत क्या-क्या होंगे बदलाव?
अब ई-स्पोर्ट्स को खेल के तौर पर मान्यता मिलेगी। युवा मामलों और खेल मंत्रालय इसके लिए अलग फ्रेमवर्क तैयार करेगा।
सोशल गेम्स को भी बढ़ावा दिया जाएगा ताकि खिलाड़ी सुरक्षित और जिम्मेदारी से खेल सके।
पहले ई-स्पोर्ट्स को कोई कानूनी मान्यता नहीं मिली थी, लेकिन अब खिलाड़ियों को बेहतर अवसर मिलेंगे।
मनी गेम्स पर सरकार की सख्ती
इस कानून के तहत पैसे वाले ऑनलाइन गेम्स को चलाना, उसका विज्ञापन करना या उनसे जुड़ा लेन-देन करना अपराध होगा। हालांकि, खिलाड़ियों पर कोई सजा नहीं होगी। लेकिन ऐसे गेम चलाने वाले, विज्ञापन देने वाले और आर्थिक मदद करने वालों को जेल और जुर्माना झेलना पड़ सकता है।

क्या-क्या हो सकती है सजा? ऐसे गेम चलाने वालों को 3 साल तक की जेल और 1 करोड़ रुपये तक का जुर्माना हो सकता है।
विज्ञापन देने वालों को 2 साल तक की जेल और 50 लाख रुपये तक का जुर्माना हो सकता है। पैसे से जुड़े लेन-देन पर 3 साल तक की जेल और 50 लाख रुपये तक का जुर्माना हो सकता है। बार-बार अपराध करने वालों पर 5 साल तक की जेल और 2 करोड़ रुपये तक का जुर्माना लगेगा।
‘समाज को रखना है सुरक्षित’
सरकार ने अधिकारियों को यह भी अधिकार दिया है कि वे ऑनलाइन या ऑफलाइन संपत्ति जब्त कर सकें और जरूरत पड़ने पर बिना वारंट गिरफ्तारी भी कर सके। सूत्रों के मुताबिक, इस कानून से सरकर को सलाना 15 हजार से 20 हजार करोड़ रुपये तक GST का नुकसान हो सकता है। लेकिन, आईटी मंत्रालय का कहना है कि राजस्व नुकसान से ज्यादा अहम समाज को सुरक्षित रखना है।

Online gaming bill becomes law after President’s approval, violation will lead to this many years of jail

New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu on Friday approved the ‘Online Gaming (Promotion and Regulation) Bill 2025’. This bill was passed by both houses of Parliament this week. The purpose of this law is to promote e-sports and social games, but to completely ban online money games.

The government says that this step will prevent dangers like addiction, financial loss and suicide. Also, e-sports will now get legal recognition and a new field of sports will open for the youth.

What changes will happen under the bill?

Now e-sports will be recognized as a sport. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will prepare a separate framework for this.

Social games will also be promoted so that players can play safely and responsibly.

Earlier e-sports did not get any legal recognition, but now players will get better opportunities.

Government’s strictness on money games

Under this law, running, advertising or making transactions related to money based online games will be a crime. However, there will be no punishment for the players. But those who run such games, advertise and provide financial help may have to face jail and fine.

What can be the punishment?

Those who run such games can face up to 3 years of jail and a fine of up to Rs 1 crore.

Those who advertise can face up to 2 years of jail and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh.

Transactions related to money can lead to up to 3 years of jail and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh.

Repeated offenders will face up to 5 years of jail and a fine of up to Rs 2 crore.

‘Society has to be kept safe’

The government has also given the authorities the right to seize property online or offline and, if needed, arrest without a warrant. According to sources, this law can cause the government to lose Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 crore annually in GST. However, the IT Ministry says that keeping society safe is more important than revenue loss.
