आयोग ने राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग को लिखा पत्र
जयपुर, 22 अगस्त। राजस्थान राज्य अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग (राजनैतिक प्रतिनिधित्व) आयोग के सचिव (सलाहकार) श्री अशोक कुमार जैन ने बताया कि ओबीसी आयोग ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देशों का उल्लेख करते हुए राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग को पंचायती राज संस्थाओं एवं नगरीय निकायों के निर्वाचन में ओबीसी के आरक्षण के संबंध में आवश्यक प्रावधान सुनिश्चित करने के संबंध में शुक्रवार को पत्र लिखा है। इस पत्र में आयोग ने कहा है कि वह पंचायती राज संस्थाओं एवं नगरीय निकायों के निर्वाचन में अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग के लिए दी जाने वाली अनुशंषाएं आगामी तीन माह में राज्य सरकार को सौंपेगा।
श्री अशोक कुमार जैन ने कहा कि आयोग द्वारा अभी राज्य के ओबीसी वर्ग के परिवारों का सर्वे तथा अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग के कल्याण हेतु कार्यरत संस्थाओं, राजनैतिक दलों एवं रिसर्च स्कॉलर्स से चर्चा कर आंकड़ें संकलित करने का कार्य किया जा रहा है, जिसके आधार पर अनुशंषा की जाएगी।
श्री जैन ने कहा कि आयोग द्वारा संभाग एवं जिला मुख्यालयों का भ्रमण कर विभिन्न राजनैतिक दलों, स्वयंसेवी संस्थाओं, सामाजिक संगठनों, जनप्रतिनिधियों एवं प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों से चर्चा कर माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के निर्देशों के अनुरूप ओबीसी के आरक्षण हेतु व्यापक विचार-विमर्श एवं सर्वे के उपरांत ओबीसी आरक्षण के संबंध में अनुशंषा दी जाएगी।

Commission wrote a letter to the State Election Commission
Jaipur, 22 August. Secretary (Advisor) of Rajasthan State Other Backward Classes (Political Representation) Commission, Shri Ashok Kumar Jain said that the OBC Commission, citing the instructions of the Supreme Court, has written a letter to the State Election Commission on Friday regarding ensuring necessary provisions regarding reservation of OBCs in the elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Bodies. In this letter, the Commission has said that it will submit the recommendations to be given for Other Backward Classes in the elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Bodies to the State Government in the next three months.
Shri Ashok Kumar Jain said that the Commission is currently conducting a survey of the families of OBC class in the state and collecting data by discussing with the institutions working for the welfare of Other Backward Classes, political parties and research scholars, on the basis of which recommendations will be made.
Mr. Jain said that the Commission will visit the divisional and district headquarters and discuss with various political parties, voluntary organizations, social organizations, public representatives and administrative officers and after extensive discussion and survey for OBC reservation in accordance with the directions of the Honorable Supreme Court, recommendation will be given regarding OBC reservation
