नईदिल्ली,स्पोर्ट्स डेस्क। हॉकी इंडिया ने गुरुवार को महिला हॉकी एशिया कप 2025 के लिए भारतीय महिला हॉकी टीम की 20 सदस्यीय स्क्वॉड का ऐलान कर दिया है। ये टूर्नामेंट 5 सितंबर से 14 सितंबर के बीच चीन के हांगझोऊ में होगा।
वहीं टीम की कमान सलीमा टेटे के कंधों पर होगा। ये टूर्नामेंट बेहद अहम है क्योंकि जो भी टीम विजेता होगी वह 2026 एफआईएच महिला हॉकी वर्ल्ड कप में सीधी जगह बनाएगी।
महिला एशिया कप 2025 हॉकी में भारतीय टीम अपने अभियान की शुरुआत 5 सितंबर को थाईलैंड के खिलाफ करेगी और फिर 6 सितंबर को जापान से भिड़ेगी। भारत अपना अंतिम पूल मैच आठ सितंबर को सिंगापुर के खिलाफ खेलेगा। भारत को पूल बी में रखा गया है।
सलीमा टेटे पिछले साल कप्तान बनने के बाद से टीम की मजबूत कड़ी रही हैं। मु्ख्य कोच हरेंद्र सिंह ने प्रेस रिलीज जारी कर कहा कि टीम में अनुभव और युवा जोश का बेहतरीन संतुलन है। उन्होंने बताया कि, हमारा लक्ष्य आक्रामक और अनुशासित हॉकी खेलना है। ये टीम एशिया की शीर्ष टीमों को कड़ी टक्कर देने में सक्षम है। सलीमा ने नेतृत्व में मिडफील्ड को और मजबूती मिलेगी, जिसमें उनके साथ नेहा, लालरेमसियामी, शर्मिला देवी, सुनेलिटा टोप्पो और वैष्णवी विट्ठल फाल्के जैसे खिलाड़ी शामिल हैं।

Asia cup 2025: Indian women’s hockey team announced for Asia Cup, Salima Tete will captain
New Delhi, Sports Desk. Hockey India on Thursday announced the 20-member squad of the Indian women’s hockey team for the Women’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025. The tournament will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 5 to September 14.
At the same time, the command of the team will be on the shoulders of Salima Tete. This tournament is very important because whichever team wins will make a direct place in the 2026 FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup.
In the Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Hockey, the Indian team will start its campaign against Thailand on September 5 and then take on Japan on September 6. India will play its last pool match against Singapore on September 8. India has been placed in Pool B.
Salima Tete has been a strong link of the team since becoming the captain last year. Chief coach Harendra Singh issued a press release saying that the team has a great balance of experience and youthful enthusiasm. He said that our goal is to play aggressive and disciplined hockey. This team is capable of giving tough competition to the top teams of Asia. The midfield will get further strengthened under the leadership of Salima, which includes players like Neha, Lalremsiami, Sharmila Devi, Sunelita Toppo and Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke.
